Castor Oil
Castor oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the seed of the castor oil plant whose botanical name is ricinus communis. It can be used as a rub or a pack for various ailments including abdominal cramps, muscular pains, skin problems, inflammatory conditions and to improve liver function. Castor oil packs are a simple home therapy and can be used in almost any situation.
How does it work on the body?
Castor oil has a specific activity on the tissues where it is placed. It enhances immuniological function as it helps to increase the number of T-cells. T-cells identify and kill viruses. The combination of the castor oil and heat brings about a more substantial therapeutic effect.
Castor oil is beneficial towards the following conditions:
Liver and gall bladder disturbances, abdominal complaints, abscesses, muscular pains, headaches, skin eruptions and lesions, appendicitis.
It relieve aches and pains, haemorrhoids, reduces inflammation, constipation, improves blood flow and circulation, intestinal obstructions and provides better lymphatic drainage. This remedy was often suggested by the American healing psychic Edgar Cayce, given in many healing readings in the early mid 1900’s. Cayce brought about castor oil packs to fame in the 20th century. He advocated for more than fifty different conditions of illness in the human body to which he attributed some remarkable results. In natural nutrition castor oil creates freedom and movement and can benefit almost anyone.
Caution: 
It should be avoided during pregnancy, breastfeeding, menstruation, hypertension and haemorrhaging problems. Castor oil should not be taken internally.
Enemas
The colon is the end part of the digestive system (the large intestine) and its main function is to conserve water in the body whilst eliminating waste. The colon, as well as other eliminatory organs, (skin, kidneys, liver, lungs and urinary tract) are responsible for eliminating waste. However, over time it might lose its ability to properly eliminate due to blockages and stagnation in these organs.This in turn causes an array of health problems and the accumulation of toxins, bacteria, parasites etc. Enemas stimulate the reflex points within the colon helping to remove the toxic load, including parasites from the intestines. This helps to strengthen body function by stimulating the immune system, circulatory system, and restoring correct ph balance to the body. Enemas on full/new moon or before an equinox can be a very powerful time where there is a lot of energy.
Enemas are beneficial towards the following conditions:
Constipation, flatulence, IBS, menstrual problems, Candida allergies, fatigue, colds, Haemorrhoids, bloating, overweight.
Caution: 
Avoid enema treatment when hungry. Enema’s can cause a loss of electrolytes so be sure to take balanced supplements afterwards.
Skin Brushing
Skin brushing helps to eliminate toxins from the body, it removes the scurf layer which is the outer layer of the skin that holds toxins and acidity. Skin brushing can improve circulation, stimulate blood flow, promote the movement of the lymphatic system and increase and stimulate energy in the body. It can be done as part of a detox programme, as this is when the lymph will need support on a regular basis.

This technique (involving showers and tubbing) creates movement of the circulatory system and the lymphatic system.
The heat stimulates blood flow to the surface of the body and the cold stimulates blood flow to the core of the body, towards the internal organs. It therefore increases blood circulation and also movement in the lymph. Alternating hot and cold makes the circulation move in and out unblocking any stagnation and moving essential nutrients to various parts of the body.
Caution 
Avoid cold showers during menstruation as it is too much for the reproductive system, as at this time the body needs heat. Therefore a lukewarm shower is recommended.
